In your commitment to serve these little ones, remember that it takes lot of patience, love, and kindness. You do not have to have a degree, lots of education, or titles in order to do this. Be yourself, and love them through Christ. Of course, there is so much to learn, and I have not accomplished it all yet either in all my years of experience. There are always new circumstances that will arise, new problems, new techniques and methods that we will never know it all. However, teach them to love God and show them that love. Many come from homes that are broken without that love, or from a single parent home that does not have the energy and time that you may have to give. We live in difficult times; however, God is able and will use your efforts that are done with pure motives in love. God bless you.
